"The Beast From The East" Bruce Hibbs Jr. is an amazing young man that presents himself as a racing veteran both on and off the tracks. His lifelong focus on racing has bred character, great drive and determination.......
Bruce Jr. was born January 23, 1991 and has fed his passion for speed from the time he could walk or talk. Showing off his skills and further fueling this calling by bringing home his first trophy at the ripe age of 3 1/2 racing in local big wheel races.

From 2000 to 2002, he raced go-karts in Delmar, DE and then in 2003 he switched over to an asphalt road course in the WKA and ran in Chestertown, MD and surrounding tracks. . Bruce won 10 races in 2003 on asphalt and also took 2nd in the state of Delaware in the Champ Kart series.

In 2004, Bruce went out to win the Micro-Class championship, yet kept finding himself in the wrong places at the wrong times. His hard work held firm and held on for a top 5 finish for the year.

2005 Bruce once again raced in the 250 Micro class where he dominated the tracks.and became the one to beat. Not finding the speed or challenges to be what he had hoped for, he made the decision to move up to the 600 Micro Sprints. This decision pushed Bruce into a new field where he was the youngest driver of the class racing with grown men. In his 3rd start, he found himself at the Middleford Nationals not only making the final racing field but also taking a checkered flag for a 1st place win in the B Main and a top 10 finish in his 1st ever National Event. Once again taking on the challenges and being the youngest driver to take on this event. Moving fast and taking home trophies, Bruce was catching the eyes of many and was eventually picked up by a Driver Development Services, which at this time he is no longer involved with because of moving on to HL Motorsports in late 2007.

In 2006 Bruce primarily raced the 600 Micro Sprints at Middleford Speedway in Seaford, DE and at Kutztown Raceway in Kutztown, PA. He once again made the Nationals and finished in the top 5, finished 4th for the year at Middleford Speedway, 3rd for the year at Kutztown, PA, won Rookie of the Year at both tracks, and won the Checkered Flag Fan Club (CFFC) National Rookie of the Year. This award was presented to him by the CFFC association with guess speaker Mario Andretti present at the awards,. And as if he didn't have enough things happening, Bruce found himself testing a Busch East car in Hickory, NC in 2006 where he did a great job and opened many eyes for the future.

2007 was a very exciting year for Bruce. This was a year for obtaining sponsorships for growth in the sport. Many of his efforts where used towards shows and autograph/photo shoots for sponsors. He competed in a few limited races with the Whelen Nascar Racing Series at Hickory Motorspeedway in a rented car for the first time in his racing career.

Then on October 2nd Hollywood was turning heads and gaining priceless knowledge at Road America while logging in approximately 1400 miles of asphalt expertise. Thanks to Mr. Al Carter and Brian Skinner. The instruction and direction provided by the Skip Barber staff proved to be beneficial in the key areas of tire management, drafting, seat time and cornering techniques. Bruce polished his people skills after winning a race and gave interviews to both local TV and print media personalities. Bruce Jr continues to admire the encouragement and leadership of everyone he has been exposed to and wants to say thanks to everyone for there efforts with his career. He is confident that, placed in a properly prepared car, the opportunity to grow will catapult his talents to the next level.

During 2008 Bruce will find himself in a position to work with a team mate in Chad Hackenbracht and continue to develop his skills for the future in the ARCA racing division with the HL Motorsports team and the Impulse One organization representing their full product brands. The HL Motorsports team is located out of Concord, NC. Bruce Jr wants to thank The Impulse One team for their confidense and commitment they have showed in stepping up concerning the future racing with HL Motorsports LLC.

Bruce is looking forward to 2009 in which plans are to be involved with the ARCA, races on a full time basics. Until then Bruce Jr will be doing all the testing needed to get the OK from ARCA to move up to the 2 mile tracks in the series Plans are for Jr to race in the October 12th race in Ohio during 2008...

Bruce would like to thank everyone who has helped him and the team and shared in the dream of racing. Without all the help this would only be a dream not a reality."I Thank all of You"
